Settings are divided into four categories based on the values of global and anonymous:. A Building Block B2Context-demo is available for download to illustrate how to make use of this package. The examples used below are based on this Building Block. The value submitted can be saved in memory as a system configuration setting i.Because the setting is optional and a default is used when no value exists, it is convenient not to save empty strings:. The anonymous parameter is set to false to denote that the setting is specific to the user:. If no value exists for a setting then it is set to the value of the system configuration setting and a receipt displayed on the page to inform the user:.Set the global parameter to false to denote that the setting is specific to the context:. The B2Context package provides methods to obtain information about the Building Block. For example, the vendorID and the handle specified in the bb-manifest. Navigation items provide details of the location for specific areas within Learn 9; for example, to obtain the URL for the Installed Blocks page on the System Admin tab:. The source files are available from the ceLTIc Project repository , where any issues should be reported.Home » Building Blocks » B2Context. Note that the package uses the following classes which are not publicly supported by Blackboard: blackboard. ReceiptOptions blackboard.NavigationItem blackboard. Registry blackboard. UserRegistryEntry blackboard. NavigationItemDbLoader blackboard. UserRegistryEntryDbLoader blackboard. UserRegistryEntryDbPersister blackboard. BbResourceBundle blackboard. InlineReceiptUtil blackboard. The package should be included in the war file for any Building Block which makes use of it. The methods defined provide access to the following functionality: contextual information configuration settings utility methods Contextual information These methods access properties from the Building Block, Blackboard context or the HTTP request.Configuration settings clearSettings - delete all configuration settings getSaveEmptyValues - get the SaveEmptyValues setting getSetting - get a configuration setting value getSettings - get a list of all configuration settings persistSettings - permanently save the current configuration setting values setSaveEmptyValues - set the SaveEmptyValues setting setSetting - set a configuration setting value These methods enable simple settings name and value pairs to be loaded and saved for use with a Building Block. It has been used a lot in high volume production environments. In this project, Stripes is configured to search for ActionBean s in the stripes sub-package of your project's package. It will recurse this package, so you can have any structure you please within this sub-package.The Stripes Framework Documentation provides more details. To do this, you annotate your ActionBean with UrlBinding :. Now you need to make sure that requests to this path are forwarded to the the DispatcherServlet. The B2 stub uses Spring Beans for dependency injection. There are a number of different methods for building your dependency graph. At All the Ducks we prefer manually wire everything together using XML as it is more explicit and thus more obvious what is going on.This doesn't mean you cannot use annotations if you choose. Documentation on using the Spring Beans framework is available. Injecting beans into your Stripes ActionBean s cannot be done using this method. This is because instances of these beans are constructed by Stripes, not Spring. However, you can tell Stripes to inject your beans into the ActionBean s it creates using the SpringBean annotation:. This building block handles the saving, loading and caching of a configuration bean. To add a configuration item, you first must add a property to the Configuration bean:. Next we'll add a string to the language pack bundle to use as the label.Using a key which maps to the field on the configuration object on the configuration action means Stripes will automatically use this as the name of the field in error messages. The actual implementation of this API is provided by Logback. On whichever class you wish to do logging initialise a logger, making sure you substitute your own classes name:. Obtaining a language pack message from the bundle varies depending on where you are trying to get it. JSP has a built-in mechanism for obtaining language pack keys.Simply include the fmt tag library and get messages using the fmt:message tag:. The stub initialisation should have already created one for you in Spring, so it just needs to be injected into your class as described above. Then use the getLocalisationString method to get your message:.
